Resumo: |
The goal that this thesis is intended to give us a reading on how the textbook teaching physics is influenced by philosophical thought in reference to the presentation of scientific knowledge as a lens formalized using psychology as a science. Beyond the context of this analysis becomes necessary due to time and that is education in Brazil. This teachable moment, the object of clipping takes us from pre manifesto of 1932, discussing educational reforms from 1891 until 1931, until pos manifesto for education where a more practical character overwrites the preparatory secondary education. This reversal is necessary because of the historical moment in Brazil. The issue is highlighted from publishers and aims to show how there is a dependency between the reforms and didactic publications, fact specific participation of Fernando de Azevedo far ahead of Companhia Editora Nacional itself was the rapporteur of the Manifesto of the Pioneers by the New Education for the People and the Government of 1932, months after retirement Francisco Campos, 1931. Justified in this thesis to better understand how the fact of scientific knowledge presented in the books of physics is hostage to a historic moment, because there was need for a science ready in view of the industrial progress occurring. The fact that proliferation of technical schools proves that there was no interest in doing investigative science in Brazil, where he stands at least two aspects: First Faculty of Philosophy, Science and Literature in Brazil dates from 1934 and as the first Ph.D. in chemistry Mr. Simon Mathias, a course created in 1935, because until then the title of doctor was given to doctors and lawyers. The second point brings us to the fact that taken as positivism prevailing thought that inhibit the development of science unfinished. The assumptions described here and go two directions: from the assumption that education reforms, and reform in 1891, with Benjamin Constant brings positivism as institutional thinking changing the view of scientific knowledge in view of an industrial installation process. The reform of 1931 takes on characteristics more precise and is based on scientific findings, with the peculiarity of the higher education reform in 1934 leading to the creation of the USP. Both the reform of 1891 as of 1931 directs the scientific knowledge in the textbooks of physics . The other direction infers the nature of publishing, the publishers are closely following the educational reforms of the textbook and make their main source of income by using as authors the teachers of the Normal Schools. The textbooks are those with the largest circulation. The treatment methodology of the research was to focus on primary sources, background, secondary sources beyond the existing historiography on the 1932 Manifesto for education and the advancement of publishing houses. The survey also included journal articles, dissertations and theses. The result obtained in the dissertation shows that the physics textbook, presentation of the laws and theories, does not follow the consensus view of science in a multi philosophical look but walks in the shadow of the philosophical adopted.
