Crivellaro CM. Perceptions and practices of family health strategy professionals in coping with the COVID pandemic 19 The spread of the new coronavirus (SARS CoV-2) has called global health structures into check and was decreed as a pandemic by the WHO. Given the current scenario, the basic family health unit seeks to reinvent itself to meet this new demand of patients with flu syndrome, with reinforcement in health education by transmitting safe information to the population, including the most vulnerable. The study aimed to evaluate the changes in the daily practice of health care resulting from coping with the pandemic, to verify the difficulties of professionals regarding these changes, to analyze the process of health education during the pandemic, to highlight the positive experiences experienced by them. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional and qualitative research. The participants were 18 professionals from the family health team of a basic health unit in a municipality in the interior of the state of São Paulo. Data collection consisted of an audio-recorded oral interview and sociodemographic form application. Content analysis, thematic modality, was used to analyze and interpret the results. Most of the participants are in the age group of 30 to 49 years, with complete high school, all female, with a time window of performance in the unit from 2 to 7 years. The interviewees' statements were grouped into five thematic categories: changes in daily practice, feelings regarding changes, difficulties encountered, health education and positive experiences. Teamwork and professional appreciation were the most cited positive experiences; resistance and aggressiveness of users, precarious working conditions and worsening of the population's health conditions the main difficulties; fear, impotence and insecurity the negative feelings most evidenced. This establishes the importance of maintaining routine health activities in coping with the pandemic, the insertion of educational interventions more effectively to standardize the communication and technical knowledge of professionals and psychological follow-up of them |
