For the author, excessive failures in the holding and handling maternal that leads the individual to a fragile psychosomatic integration, hindering the primitive emotional development and contributing to an intellectual hyperfunction. These patients cannot inhabit their own body and will make use of it as an attempt to look for the care they received before the moment of failure, in the stage of absolute or relative dependence, with the goal of regaining psychosomatic integration that was lost. In the psychoanalytic context, according to Winnicott, a deepening on the genesis of the psychosomatic disorder allows us to the psychoanalytic work through regression to dependence as a new possibility for the individual to establish a process of personalization. In order to go deeper these questions, the clinical case of a patient, who presented psychosomatic questions, using the body as an important form of communication of her psychic states, was presented and discussed.
