Resumo: |
The public education policies have several contradictions when implemented in capitalism, the yearning for social advancement through better paid professions contrasts with the need to train individuals who are critical and aware of their place in society. Therefore, the process of occupying public schools in the State of São Paulo at the end of 2015 can be seen as an important example of evidence of these contradictions. The movement that broke out in order to resist a proposal to change the structure of the public network brought up several parallel issues such as the possibility of resistance to state impositions until the existence of different forms of democracy. The objective of this dissertation is to expose the experience of the occupation of the schools in the state public network of São Paulo as a form of resistance to the imposition of neoliberalism for the education area |
