Resumo: In this paper, it will be presented the relation between visual arts and the public space, especially at the underground stations in São Paulo (Brazil) and Santiago (Chile), and its association with some heterothopic, multi-systems and topoanalysis concepts. Aiming the analysis of complex relations established between urban environment, art and culture in America, besides promoting artistic dialogue in São Paulo (Brazil) and Santiago (Chile) within the context of a Latin-American integration. This journey focus on cultural dynamics related to processes of creation and mediation. Therefore, the culture is developed from symbolic relations which allows interactions and cultural mediations. Hence, considering these cultural processes as spaces where it may transmit several interfaces of the Humankind. This research intends to revalidate the importance of visual arts for the society and for culture proposing a new optic over the link between art and city. It is considered that artistic manifestations in a location where the scenic space defines an urban landscape, allowing endless expressions complemented by its own city culture. In this sense, the construction of the space is made from multiple performances in that place, considering elements built not only by concrete structures but also alive organisms. The adopted methodology has been set up from a logical comprehension of the organisation of the space in the cities and its integration with the time and the visual arts, based on a former reflection about theoretical possibilities which weaves the purpose of this analysis. Furthermore, it will be considered the approach of cartography, once, in art research, it acts as experimentation of thought, related to knowledge that emerges from the fact of doing, of demarcating the place (territory) to make it a space
