Resumo: | This thesis is a study of the Emotional Development and Quality of Life of professor, typified as average adult and early adult late, including an age range from 40 to 75 years. The research was conducted with 279 professors from Rio Grande do Sul’s private colleges, randomly sampled from the SINPRO / RS’s database (Teachers Union of Private Education of Rio Grande do Sul), and 10 teachers were invited for convenience to participate of an autobiographical instrument. The theoretical framework is based on the authors of human behavior, human development, teaching and adulthood. The research design is qualitative and quantitative, exploratory and descriptive, with data collection and life reporting.The general aim was to learn about the relevance of the emotional development and its implications on quality of life of professors, average adults and upwards. Qualitative analysis was performed using the technique of content analysis and resulted in three categories: Emotional Education, Human Motivation and Quality of Life. The analysis of the quantitative data was conduced through descriptive statistics with cross data analysis. The result of the study revealed that the subject is developed emotionally is of great importance for academics.They also believe that having quality of life is their task, but do not clearly emphasizes a positioning category, and thus need the help of their place of work to have this objective realized. The analysis also endorses that professors are a engaged category, open to new knowledge and interest in continued learning. Also argues that this professionals seek to have self development and wishes Quality of Life. The contributions of this thesis points out the role of educational institutions, which should increase the link with their workers through debate, informative and especially with continuous training for your course coordinators or managers, as well as an effective training for professors. |
