Resumo: The thesis develops an analysis and reflection, from a theoretical perspective of a philosophical-educational nature, on the need and relevance of including training content related to human rights in the curricular proposal for the pedagogical training of education professionals, in degree courses, with emphasis on those who will work in basic education. Based on the assumption that the curricular proposal is a privileged mediation for educational training, it advocates the presence of components linked to sensitizing future professionals to this issue, so that they can adequately address situations of human rights violations experienced in the classroom. The problem arises precisely from the repeated occurrence of these situations in the context of basic education and the difficulty that school teams find in dealing with them pedagogically. On the other hand, there is a limited presence of training components aimed at raising this awareness in the curricula of degree courses. The hypothesis is that integrating the teaching of human rights into degree courses increases teachers' ability to identify and deal with signs of domestic and school violence among elementary school pupils. The research is based on a review of specialized thematic literature and an analysis of legal and academic documents, and is based on theoretical categories from the field of philosophy of education. As a result, it is hoped to provide support for a proposal to improve teacher training and to ensure that students exercise their fundamental rights.
