This work aimed at recovering the political and professional training in the history and trajectory of the Center for Professional Teaching Free New Piratininga ( Núcleo de Ensino Profissional Livre Nova Piratininga ), commonly called the New School Piratininga ( Escola Nova Piratininga ), seeking help through their unique experience, building an alternative model of education. This experience did not arise spontaneously; it was conceived and articulated by a group of activists of the Opposition Labor Metallurgical of the State of São Paulo, interested in creating a union not tied to the state, and who dared to promote this specific training for workers in the troubled economic, political and social realities of the larger industrial center of the country from 1979 to 1996. The main objective was to verify the characteristic of tutoring proposal in action of the worker teaching the worker, in order to provide to the militant workers a vocational training intertwined with the political formation.. So reconstruct the history of this school and its principal agents, through the historical context was essential to understanding the importance of this educational experience in particular. The sources with the oral narratives of workers and teachers who have experienced this process of creation, memory and official documentation allowed to reclaim the key trends, among which that focuses the political resistance and the changes occurred in the training of new militants who have as main concern, a more just and democratic society. |
