Resumo: Domestic and family violence against women is a global problem that has intensified after the Covid 19 pandemic, impacting various sectors of society, including business activity. This form of violence violates women's human rights by undermining the victims' dignity. There are many causes of domestic and family violence against women, such as financial difficulties in the family, chemical dependency and repetition of violence experienced in childhood, presenting this form of violence as a social and not a criminal problem, considering the impacts in different areas , including in business activities, given the depreciation of women's human capital, adding significant costs to the company, decreased productivity, increased healthcare costs, absenteeism (absences), increased employee turnover and treatment leaves, also bringing a negative impact on the morale of the company's other workers (non-victims) and on the perception of the company's customers. Faced with this scenario, we sought to demonstrate the importance of the company's actions in overcoming this problem from the perspective of adopting ethical conduct through corporate social responsibility, which brings positive impacts to its economic scope and is an instrument for realizing human rights. To this end, the hypothetical-deductive method with a qualitative approach of bibliographical research was carried out on the actions developed by companies in the context of combating and preventing domestic and family violence against women and through the inductive method the research was carried out with the application of a questionnaire at the Cofco and São Domingos Plants, in the State of São Paulo.
