Resumo: Kidney Disease (KD) often leads to progressive loss of kidney function, thus a preventive procedure based on cooperation, respect for the patients’ particularities, encouraging intersectoral actions, and a commitment to the patients’ integrity is important. Therefore, schools’ primary mission is to develop teaching/learning process and play an essential role in the education of people in all aspects of social life. Objective: To analyze the Multiple Intelligences learning process applying the pedagogy of projects tool addressing the prevention of KD among adolescents. Methodology: This action research with a qualitative approach was conducted in 2018. It was part of a project that included a convenience sample composed of five adolescents, aged 14 years old and regularly enrolled in middle school. The following question guided data collection: “Tell me what it was like to perform this work in your life”. The study was based on the Multiple Intelligences Theory and employed the Pedagogy of Projects tool. Data were analyzed using Bardin’s content analysis. Results: Categories included kidney disease prevention and the construction of knowledge and quality of life. The Multiple Intelligences learning process using the Pedagogy of Projects among adolescents respects human diversity considering each individual is unique. Conclusion: The study’s participants played a leading role in the development of activities concerning the prevention of kidney diseases and enabled health promotion and prevention of kidney disease in the school environment of adolescents.
