Resumo: Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a possible complication after radical prostatectomy (RP), a surgical procedure indicated for prostate cancer treatment. Objective: to assess sexual function among men submitted to treatment for ED after RP. Methods: Participants were men submitted to RP who underwent treatment for ED at the Urology and Psychology Services, Hospital de Base, who filled the selection criteria for inclusion in the study. Data was collected with the Sexual Quotient Questionnaire for Men (QS-M) and with a semi structured interview with questions about ED treatment and patients’ satisfaction with that treatment. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics. Results: During five years (2011-2016), 122 men were submitted to prostatectomy and 26 of those were included in the study. The most frequent treatment prescribed was stimulant medication (65.4%). Most men were not satisfied with the treatment for ED and classified their sexual performance and their satisfaction from null to poor. Conclusion: sexual function was impaired after RP even with a treatment for ED.
