The challenges to public administration are constantly increasing. Complex public issues in a society increasingly aware of its interests and unsatisfied with the provision of public services, pressure them to seek ways to tackle these issues. The presence of effective leadership can be a means to balance the creative and innovative character of public institutions, ensuring quality and agility in responding to this society more attentive and aware of their value. In this sense, this study sought to determine the extent to which the federal regulatory agencies, special authorities of indirect public administration, value their leaders and leadership effectiveness within their institutions. As they are recognized by their high technical expertise, of major importance to the performance in dynamic and strategic sectors for the country's interests, it is expected that their efforts are to ensure the use of a modem and effective management. The study considered the impressions gathered from interviews with managers in charge o f people management o f these institutions. In conclusion, it was possible to confirm that, in fact, regulatory agencies are making efforts to identify, train and stren!:,:rthen their leadership with the aim o f improving organizational management. |
