Resumo: |
In view of a lack of a structured theoretical persctive observed in the psychological approach of mental deficiency, this study tries to find out and to suggest some relevant aspects as a possible contribution to this area. It is assumed here that ' mental deficiency can only be correctly investigated in its psychological dimensions (cognitive and affective) when referred to a structured and wide theoretical context, wich is in itself an area of application of articulated concepts. In this sense, the work of Henri Wallon is taken as a strategical referential. His contributions to psychology, developmental psychology and, psychopathology are presented, as well its implications to the study of mental deficiency. Chapter I discuss Wallon~s Genetic Psych6logy as a theoretical alternative for the delimitation of the subject of study of psychological science, and its appropriated methodology. ,His attempts of introduction of dialetic materialism as a epistemological posture and his concrete multidimensional methodology are presented. From this, are derived the stages of development and the perspective concerned to the dialetic evolution of personality. Chapter 2 treats the pathologic expression of the psychological phenomenon as a disruption in the normal dialetic evolution. As a result and implication, the mental deficiency is discussed as a: particular and significant expression of psychopathological phenomenon, meaning in its different levels, an evolutive process wich makes impossible the inclusion and solution of conflicts and contradictions wich characterize the normal development. Finally, are presented, the alternatives and contributions caused by a review of wallonian, thinking, unexpectedly neglected in its deepness, richness, fertility and wideness. |
