Resumo: This final conclusion paper for the Professional Master's Program addresses the formation of the teenage self in order to comprehend the biological, psychological and social processes which permeate the teenager, having as a reference Freud s theory of personality, complemented by his successors. A thread is traced connecting adolescence, formation of self and family. Each proposed chapter is configured in a flash , an image from two complementary angles: the first covers the early development according to psychoanalytic theory and the second surveys the context of family dynamics in the formation of that self. The adolescent is influenced by the family and culture in which it is inserted; they contribute to some behaviors typical of this phase, sometimes misunderstood, such as questionings, aggressiveness, isolation, rituals and some mourning. Due to this gap, the wishes, desires, experiences and living experiences of adolescents and their real needs, along with the specific characteristics of this phase are disregarded by the family, intensifying the conflicts and tensions that already exist. The aim of this investigation resides in systematizing and disseminating this way of understanding adolescence to contribute to a change of attitude on the part of parents and teachers, promoting greater acceptance and diminishing labeling of their maturation process.
