Resumo: This essay aims to investigate the experiential teaching, primarily on the way it is practiced (that is, about “how” it is practiced), using as an example the course entitled Hyper Island's “User Experience Lab” - executive school which proposes to develop the “professional artistic talent” in students, a term established by Donald Schön. This study qualitative focuses on the importance of the creative professional related to the broad scenario of the Creative Economy - in which the “artistic talent” refers to the professional who applies what is known and then, reflects, criticizes, improves, reformulates and, even develops new skills, acting inventively in situations that are unique, uncertain and conflicting he faces in his practice. As a tool for this analysis of this work, interviews were carried out, based on a semi-structured script, with six graduates and one teachers of the mentioned course. Having those answers, it was analyzed whether, if the experience proposed in the teaching-learning environment, in fact, was prevailing in the development of those professionals. To build the theoretical basis, the author considered three central concepts: Experiential Learning, Practical Reflective Teaching and User Experience Design. Despite some criticisms raised about the course, the results of the analysis show that the Experiential Teaching practiced by the school is close to the contemporary trends of engagement and creation that highlight the role of reflective thinking to improve professional's qualification. Regarding its applicability, the research also meets the demand for studies that explore learning through forms other than conventional technical rationality, also contributing to reflection on the importance of experiential teaching in professional education
