Resumo: This thesis is organized in a multipaper format as a collection of three articles that correspond to the stages of research development, having as object of study the teaching process of Statistics in Higher Education and the contributions of the GeoGebra software in this context. It is considered as an assumption that statistical knowledge should provide students with conditions to understand the variability of data, the essence of statistics, and its influence on decision making. For this, the teaching proposals must enable students to experience situations that involve: problematization, data collection, data representation and interpretation of results. Technology is an important tool in this process, as it allows the exploration of different strategies, methods and models of data representation, which make it possible to establish several relationships. The objective of this research is to discuss the teaching process of Statistics in Higher Education and the contributions of the GeoGebra software in this context. The use of a case study with qualitative analysis was adopted as an investigation method. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the following question: What are the potentialities of the GeoGebra software in Statistical Education in Higher Education? To answer it, the pedagogical work developed in a class of the civil engineering course at a private university in Baixada Santista was analyzed. The study showed that GeoGebra, as a dynamic software, provided interactive and thought-provoking learning environments for students to solve practical problems, involving authentic situations, in a critical and reflective way. The results showed that the GeoGebra software is an efficient tool to support the construction of statistical concepts and procedures, although it presents some limitations regarding its usability.
