Resumo: | The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world in February 2020 promoted social distancing and transformed a way of life in every country in the world. The institution school was the first to be impacted by the suspension of in-person classes. The teaching format needed to be modified and educational practices started to occur remotely. This reality motivated the present research, which aims to analyze the management action in social voices materialized in the Pedagogical Political Project (PPP) of the Escola Estadual Profa. Carmem Nogueira Nicácio, in order to observe, in the managerial practice at a time of restructuring of education due to the Covid-19 pandemic, how democratic management takes place. The specific objectives of this study are to observe how the dialogical relationships that guide the director's actions are manifested in the school's PPP, how the director responds to them and how he acts responsively in a time of pandemic. Analyzing how the director exercised his leadership at this moment, which severely impacted education in Brazil, allows for a reflective self-analysis on managerial practice and na improvement in the director's work that directly reflects on the school community and on the quality of teaching. At a time of social distancing, the importance of a management that provides for the consolidation of spaces for interaction between all members of the school community and for collective decision-making became even more visible. By observing the responsible act of the education professional, it is possible to see how the management action is carried out in a democratic way and seeks to guarantee the quality of education in favor of the formation of citizens and a sustainable society. The methodology adopted in this research is bibliographical and qualitative, in which dialogism is used for the analysis of the corpus, based on the concepts of dialogue and responsible act presented by Mikhail Bakhtin (2010) and by the Bakhtinian Circle, also developed in the studies of Fiorin (2006), Faraco (2007), Brait (2006), Sobral (2009), among others. The bibliographical research on democratic management and Pedagogical Political Project focuses on the theoretical bases that support its guiding principles in Veiga (1995), Paro and Vasconcellos (2002) and Gadotti (1994) and on the legislative documents. In the PPP, social voices interfere in the proposals for changes, in na attempt to consolidate advances towards pedagogical work in a new (remote) format and adapts to the new educational reality. It is in the responsible act of the director that democratic management takes place in the school environment, as it is he who orchestrates the alignment of actions carried out by the school community for the realization of the teaching-learning process.
