This research presents the discussion about the combination of craft techniques and digital technologies – considered as a hybrid process – that appears as a trend in the field of Brazilian graphic design. From the theoretical resources about techniques, concepts, design fundamentals and design methodologies applied in the case studies, it is hypothesized that, given the homogenization often provided by the exclusive use of digital technologies, many designers resort to the use of artisanal techniques as a resource of differentiated creation, that allows to achieve greater conceptual quality in the projects. This research also emphasizes how digital technologies have altered the processes of conception and execution of graphic design projects and have enriched the field with new possibilities of exploration of the graphic language. Additionally, it proposes to equate these digital resources with craft techniques present in graphic projects developed after the emergence of computers. |
