Resumo em Inglês: This thesis presented in Anhembi Morumbi University, on pos-graduated program in Design, investigates how is teaching management in the courses of Digital Design and proposes the change to reflective teaching of management. To reach this objective, we sought to understand, from a theoretical perspective, the evolution of design from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day; the value of design management at the operational, tactical and strategic levels and reflective teaching according to John Dewey, Donald Schön and Paulo Freire. Given their nature, design management disciplines are more objective and directive, restricting their content to aspects related to administration. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to broaden the scope of the research allowing the construction of the case study of the Digital Design courses of PUC-Campinas and Anhembi Morumbi University. In order to enable such discussions, the present research was outlined through bibliographic review, exploratory field research and Multiple Case Studies (conducted with coordinators and teachers of two higher education courses in São Paulo). The results obtained allowed to analyze how is the teaching of management, to construct case studies and the elaboration of four proposals of reflexive teaching of management for the course of Digital Design. It is considered that by the design training itself, the proposals on reflective teaching of management through practice-reflective are closer to the designer's universe, and thus allow more autonomy for students, in the viability of actions that also contemplate creative boldness.
