Resumo: The dissertation has as object of study the philosophical fiction of thinker Vilém Flusser, who has lived more than 30 years in Brazil, parting from the question “what is philosophical fiction in/to Flusser?”. The presence of two prepositions in the question suggests that the dissertation consists, at the same time, of an analysis of the texts in which Flusser’s philosophical fiction manifests itself and of a quest for the concept, the motivations e reasons for the fiction in his work as a whole. Fable, science fiction, fantastic tales – these are many names for the same phenomenon. Flusser was not the first nor the last philosopher to use stories to express philosophical thinking, but certainly his philosophical fiction is emblematic and should be studied, because it is the natural extension of a propositive and essayistic philosophy in which imaginative force and rhetoric prevail. Flusser blurs the limits between philosophy and literature, questioning the boundaries of the academia and scientific knowledge, and advocates the equality of rights of artistical and philosophical knowledge.
