Sumari: The objective of this work was to carry out a static linear structural analysis of the wing of a radio-controlled aircraft using the finite element method, through the Ansys software. Initially, we sought to identify critical points that could cause deformations and have weaknesses, the material was defined as balsa wood, then the geometry of the wing was adjusted to make the unions and imperfections presented. In the next step, a mesh was generated with a refinement of 4 mm using quadratic elements, the material was applied to the geometry using ACP (Pre), followed by the structural analysis, the boundary conditions were applied, the result of total deformation of 421.88 mm and maximum stress of 171.22 MPa was obtained, applying the Tsai-Hill and Tsai-Wu failure criteria, much of the geometry was below 1, where the structure failed, Only the stringers and ribs were also analyzed and they were found to be defective.
