Summary: | This work aimed to carry out an evaluation regarding a linear static analysis of the chassis structure of a Carrega Tudo semi-trailer, through computer simulations. A three-dimensional model of a chassis was developed using CAD software (Computer-Aided Design SolidWorks®). Subsequently, this model served as the basis for simulations of the vehicle structure, conducted with the ANSYS® WorkBench software. The analyzes were carried out applying the principle of the Finite Element Method. Different analysis conditions were studied to evaluate stresses and deformations in the chassis structure. The main objective was to identify critical points of tension that would arise in the search for the most critical condition. The results demonstrated that the semi-trailer has a considerable safety margin for the analysis with the CAT 416F2 loader attached. In analyzes where critical equipment conditions were reached, areas of high stress concentration emerged, such as in an analysis that considered an acceleration of 2G simulating an impact load and in an analysis evaluating the chassis under hill terrain conditions. In critical analyses, the maximum stresses were 545 MPa with a safety factor of 0.63 and 437 MPa with a safety factor of 0.78, respectively. This study highlighted the importance of structural analysis in the development of transport vehicles. Furthermore, future experimental studies were suggested to validate and improve computational simulations. |
