Riassunto: | The 1st Festival do Cinema Brasileiro de Santos (FECIBRASA) was created and sponsored by Santos Futebol Clube, the Instituto Nacional do Cinema, and the Secretaria de Turismo de Santos, with the aim of facilitating the entry of Brazilian films into the national exhibition market. Santos FC uses its prominence in football as a gateway to other subjects, such as social events, tourism, hospitality, and cinema, culminating in FECIBRASA. Considering festivals as aggregators of characteristics, the Santos event sees the emergence of a football-city-cinema association, with the Santos club using the event to communicate that it does not only focus on football. We propose to analyze how this relationship develops in FECIBRASA, based on newspaper articles from that time. |
