Samenvatting: | Music is an inherent artistic entity of humanity and brings with it cultural and political values that reverberate the intentionalities in the artistic craft of composition and interpretation, passing through the sonority, the human intellectuality as “a crooked song” that “cuts the flesh” and enters within the individual, who in turn reacts with a plurality of feelings arising from the reproduction of the poetic-melodic work. Such a process can then act as a revolutionary and transformative mechanism of a whole social imaginary of several generations from the message of the song and how it is passed, making the daily life musical. It is about this capacity to transform symbolic aspects of reality into music that we will discuss the poetic-musical productions of the Sobralense artist Antonio Carlos Belchior, where he presents himself in the lines and lines of his work as a melopoetic subject 3, in the compositions describing the adventures of trying opportunity in another region, reacting with bewilderment when faced with “the new”, as well as the nostalgia of an outcast individual who longs for the return. |
