Tóm tắt: This study analyzes the conformity of Law Nº. 8.429/1992 (Law on Administrative Impropriety-LIA), amended by Law Nº. 14.230/2021, with the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). The central objective was to evaluate the interface and harmonization between these frameworks, measuring Brazil's compliance with international commitments. The qualitative methodology used bibliographic review and syntopic reading under descriptive, analytical, and dialectical methods. The results indicate that, although there are structural convergences, the new requirement of specific intent for the configuration of acts of impropriety represents a critical divergence. This change weakens the accountability system and calls into question the repressive effectiveness required by the UNCAC. It is concluded that the application of normative dialogue and judicial control of conventionality (diffuse and concentrated) is indispensable. Such measures are essential to ensure an interpretation of the law that mitigates the risks of impunity, guaranteeing the coherence of the Brazilian legal system with the international anti-corruption cooperation agenda
