Tóm tắt: | The right and limits to the right of access to information, such as data protection and the treatment of confidential data, are discussed in this article in the light of Brazilian legislation, based on the constitutional principle of reasonableness and proportionality before which it is understood that there is no absolute right. Thus, if, on the one hand, citizens have the right to obtain information of private or collective interest from public administration bodies and institutions, on the other hand, there is a duty of public administration both to provide and to protect such information. |
