সংক্ষিপ্ত: | The Panorama of Brazilian Audiovisual Film Festivals is a yearbook of Brazilian audiovisual film festivals that open calls for submissions. The objective is to outline a profile of these events and its characteristics, creating a historical record to monitor the realization of Brazilian film festivals over the years and a basis for further research and the construction of public policies. The Complementary Law 195/2022, the Paulo Gustavo Law (LPG), represented a transfer of almost 4 billion reais to the country's culture sector, marking the largest direct investment in the sector to date. Among the types of audiovisual projects authorized for funding are the film festivals. In parallel, the Law 14.399, enacted on July 8, 2022, established the National Aldir Blanc Culture Promotion Policy (PNAB), aiming to be an institutionalized cultural promotion plan. Until 2027, the Federal Brazilian Government is committed to transferring the equivalent of 3 billion reais annually to states and municipalities for the promotion of cultural projects through public calls and notices. Festivals are again among the projects eligible for funding. It is in this scenario that Panorama-24 emerges. For the first time since its inception, the study records over 500 events held in 2024, with direct participation of resources via the Paulo Gustavo Law: almost 50% of the circuit received funding from the LPG. In 2024, we also witnessed the first events occurring with the aid of the PNAB, initiating a movement that may become constant in future circuits. |
