总结: The Panorama of Brazilian Audiovisual Film Festivals is a yearbook of Brazilian audiovisual film festivals that open calls for submissions. The objective is to outline a profile of these events and its characteristics, creating a historical record to monitor the realization of Brazilian film festivals over the years and a basis for further research and the construction of public policies. Some of the compiled data: Number of festivals/showcases held during the year; Where the festivals take place; How these exhibitions happens: in-person, online, hybrid; Festival themes; Accepted work lengths for submission; profile (national or international). In 2016, the first edition of the annual report was released. The initial study pointed to a predominantly online association between audiovisual work submissions and a virtualization process of part of the festivals' occurrence, culminating in their in-person realizations. In other words, for festivals to take place in-person, they adopted a certain remote occurrence. This idea persists throughout subsequent annual reports, but in a more discreet way, focusing more on a general overview of the sector itself. Some data points: 323 festivals and showcases taking place throughout the year, with open calls for submissions; Concentration of events by Region: Southeast (46%), Northeast (23%), South (14%), Central-West (9%), North (4%), Interstate (3%), and online events (1%); 11 interstate events (3%), taking place in more than one Brazilian state; Only 3 online events (1%); São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro states with the highest number of film festivals ; 51 different thematic film festivals cataloged; 5 thematic film festivals cataloged with more than 10 events: University; Regional; Student; Environmental; festivals focusing on works directed by female filmmakers; Generalist events representing the majority of festivals/showcases, a fact that will be repeated in all subsequent annual reports; University festivals are the most numerous thematic events.
