Apuração de downloads das publicações do incaper entre 2018 e o primeiro semestre de 2025: uma abordagem comparativa pré- e pós-projeto editorial

Shrnutí: | Incaper provides a collection of digital publications through the Rui Tendinha Library website. The publications edited by Editora Incaper play an important role in disseminating the technologies generated or adapted by the institution itself. With the aim of studying and enhancing this editorial production, the project “Evaluation of Incaper's Editorial Production from the Perspective of its Target Audience was launched in June 2022, with one of its goals being to implement actions to promote the publications in order to increase their reach among the different audiences served. To measure the effectiveness of the actions implemented, a survey of download data for Incaper's publications from 2018 to June 2025 was conducted, in order to analyze digital reach and observe possible changes in the behavior of the target audience before and after the start of the research. The data were extracted from Incaper’s Institutional Repository, hosted on the DSpace platform, and organized in a spreadsheet by category, title, year, and number of downloads. Since the number of publications varies from year to year, the average number of downloads per publication per year was calculated, allowing for a more proportional and accurate comparison across years. The results indicate a significant increase in digital engagement after the implementation of the project’s actions. They also made it possible to identify the performance of individual publications. This information may guide actions by authors, managers, and others involved in editorial activities at the Institute. Finally, further studies are recommended to deepen the understanding of additional factors that influenced the variation in the number of publication downloads, considering the performance of the most sought-after themes and categories. |

Las publicaciones editadas por Editora Incaper son importantes en la socialización de las tecnologías generadas o adaptadas por la propia institución. Con el objetivo de estudiar y potenciar esta producción editorial interna, se inició, en junio de 2022, el proyecto de “Evaluación de la Producción Editorial Incaper, desde la Perspectiva de su Público Objetivo”, que tiene como una de sus metas la implementación de acciones de difusión de las publicaciones, con la finalidad de aumentar el alcance entre los diferentes públicos a los que se dirige. Para medir la eficacia de las acciones implementadas, se propuso realizar una recopilación de datos de las descargas (downloads) de las publicaciones de Incaper entre el periodo de 2018 a junio de 2025, para analizar el alcance digital y observar posibles cambios en el comportamiento del público objetivo antes y después del inicio de la investigación. Los datos se extrajeron del Repositorio Institucional de Incaper, ubicado en la plataforma DSpace, y se organizaron en una hoja de cálculo por categoría, título, año y número de descargas (downloads). Dado que el número de publicaciones varía de un año a otro, se optó por calcular el número promedio de descargas (downloads) de publicación por año, lo que permite realizar un análisis proporcional y más justo entre los distintos años. Los resultados apuntan a un aumento significativo en la interacción digital tras la implementación de las acciones del proyecto. También nos permitieron identificar el rendimiento de las publicaciones de forma individual. Esta información podrá orientar las acciones de autores, gestores y demás personas involucradas en las actividades editoriales del Instituto. Por último, se recomienda realizar estudios complementarios con el fin de profundizar en el conocimiento de otros factores que influyeron en la variación del número de descargas (downloads) de las publicaciones, teniendo en cuenta el rendimiento de los temas y categorías más buscados.O Incaper disponibiliza um acervo de publicações digitais por meio do site da Biblioteca Rui Tendinha. As publicações editadas pela Editora Incaper são importantes na socialização das tecnologias geradas ou adaptadas pela própria instituição. Com o objetivo de estudar e potencializar essa produção editorial própria, iniciou-se, em junho de 2022, o projeto Avaliação da Produção Editorial do Incaper sob a Perspectiva do seu Público-Alvo, que tem como uma das metas a implementação de ações de divulgação das publicações, visando aumentar o alcance entre os diferentes públicos atendidos. Os dados foram retirados do Repositório Institucional do Incaper, localizado na plataforma DSpace, e organizados em uma planilha por categoria, título, ano e número de downloads. Como a quantidade de publicações varia de um ano para outro, optou-se pelo cálculo da média de downloads de publicação por ano, o que permite uma análise proporcional e mais justa entre os anos. Os resultados apontam para um aumento significativo no engajamento digital após a implementação das ações do projeto. Permitiram, ainda, identificar o desempenho das publicações individualmente. As informações poderão nortear ações de autores, gestores e demais envolvidos com a atividade editorial no Instituto.
