Essas informações sobre alterações beneficia a tomada de decisões e ampara a gestão local sobre o modo como lidar com as dificuldades que possam surgir, e o método que auxilia na geração desses dados é sensoriamento remoto. O presente trabalho envolve a utilização de sensores remotos a bordo dos satélites Landsat 5 – TM e Landsat 8 – OLI, que disponibilizam bandas espectrais que serão processadas para gerar os índices espectrais: Índice de Vegetação por Diferença Normalizada (NDVI), Índice de Vegetação Melhorado (EVI), Índice de Água por Diferença Normalizada (NDWI) e Índice de Água por Diferença Normalizada Modificado (MNDWI). Os índices irão dispor informações sobre a dinâmica espaço-temporal da vegetação e das áreas hídricas de três reservatórios na Bacia do Rio Brígida, localizada em Pernambuco, bem como da região da Chapada do Araripe inserida na bacia, em oito imagens de satélite em datas diferentes sendo elas dos dias 16 de junho de 1990, 02 de novembro de 1994, 23 de setembro de 1997, 06 de julho de 2003, 27 de novembro de 2009, 09 de setembro de 2013, 15 de julho de 2018 e 30 de outubro de 2022. Os resultados dessa dissertação permitiram observar as alterações da quantidade de vigor vegetativo na bacia e de área molhada nos reservatórios estudados ao longo das diferentes datas, tendo se destacado a imagem de 16 de junho de 1990 demonstrando os maiores valores nos índices de vegetação e de água e as imagens de 02 de novembro de 1994, 09 de setembro de 2013 e 15 de julho de 2018 indicando as menores áreas hídricas dos reservatórios de Chapéu, Lopes II e Entremontes, respectivamente.FACEPEThe study and analysis of the space-time dynamics of a region provides data on the level of changes that occur in a specific location over time. This information on changes benefits the decision-making and supports local management on how to deal with difficulties that may arise, and the method that helps to generate this data is the remote sensing. The present work involves the use of remote sensors on board of the Landsat 5 – TM and Landsat 8 – OLI satellites, which provide spectral bands that will be processed to generate the spectral indices: Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI), Normalized Difference Water Index (NDWI) and Modified Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI). The indices will provide information on the space-time dynamics of the vegetation and water areas of three reservoirs in the Brígida River Basin, located in Pernambuco, as well as the Chapada do Araripe region insert in the basin, in eight satellite images on different dates, which are from June 16, 1990, November 02, 1994, September 23, 1997, July 6, 2003, November 27, 2009, September 9, 2013, July 15, 2018 and October 30, 2022.
