We focus upon persuasion and implicit in order to describe veridiction processes and subjectivity index. The theoretical framework came from new rhetoric theory (Perelman; Olbrechts-Tyteca, 2005) and argumentation study, incremented by enunciative theory (Ducrot, 1972) in order to achieve critical literacy.Neste artigo são analisados alguns aspectos enunciativo-discursivos que constroem posições subjetivas presentes em uma manchete jornalística e uma foto de uma notícia presente no jornal “O Estado de S. Paulo”. Focalizam-se as noções de persuasão, tal como é vista pela nova retórica (Perelman; Olbrechts-Tyteca, 2005), e a noção de implícito, a partir da teoria da enunciação de Ducrot (1972).
