The retribution and associated benefits are one of the areas in which the evolution of employment reality is more clearly expressed, in the existing regulatory framework. As such, with the purpose to clarify the legal framework of certain trade-offs made to workers under the employment relationship, it will be explained the current regime in the current labour code, mostly, in title II, Chapter III, concerning the Retribution and other patrimonial benefits. Qualification related issues of certain patrimonial attributions made by the employer to the employee and the determination of the consequences associated will be analysed in detail in order to precisely and concisely clarify the concept of retribution, as a complex element that goes beyond mere monetary provision.Superior deference will be given to the attribution, by an employer, the usage of a company car , as a provision that may have (or may not have) a retributive nature, for the purposes of article 258.º and following of the Labour Code and, of course, the legal consequences deriving from there.O presente estudo tem como intento apreender a influência do conceito de retribuição e outras prestações patrimoniais no domínio da relação laboral. A retribuição e prestações associadas são um dos domínios em que mais claramente se manifesta a evolução da realidade laboral, sendo comuns tensões no quadro normativo vigente.
