Systematic Reviews on Teacher Identity in Brazilian Journals: : Advances and Limits

Summary: This article examines a series of systematic reviews on teacher identity published in Portuguese in Brazilian journals from the 2000s onwards, using their theoretical-methodological aspects and primary research focuses as the central points of discussion. A search was conducted on the Capes Periodicals Portal, the Carlos Chagas Foundation's Educ@ Platform and SciELO Brazil, as well as in researchers' personal collections, resulting in twelve studies. The reviewed articles address various aspects of teaching identity, encompassing broader themes and specific domains (mathematics education, physical education, biology and medicine) especially since the mid-2000s, in alignment with international trends. Finally, the article highlights the advancements and limitations of these studies.

Finally, the article highlights the advancements and limitations of these studies.Este artigo analisa um conjunto de revisões sistemáticas sobre identidade docente, publicadas em língua portuguesa nos periódicos brasileiros a partir dos anos 2000, tomando, como eixo de discussão, seus aspectos teórico-metodológicos e suas principais ênfases de investigação. Foi realizado um levantamento no Portal de Periódicos Capes, na Plataforma Educ@ da Fundação Carlos Chagas e na SciELO Brasil, bem como em acervo pessoal dos pesquisadores, o que resultou em doze estudos. As revisões analisadas se debruçam tanto sobre as identidades docentes em um sentido mais geral, quanto em áreas mais específicas (educação matemática, educação física, biologia e medicina), notadamente a partir de meados da década passada, seguindo a tendência internacional.
