L’autore nelle sue riflessioni parte da affermazioni bibliche dell’Antico e Nuovo Testamento. Mostra come già il popolo di Israele doveva occuparsi degli “stranieri” nel proprio territorio e dell’evoluzione delle espressioni sul comportamento del Popolo di Dio verso lo straniero nel corso della storia. Con Gesù di Nazareth queste espressioni sono accentuate perché lui si identifica con lo straniero. L’incontro con lo straniero diventa un distintivo di coloro che seguono Gesù. Partendo da queste considerazioni basilari l’autore cerca delle risposte per il nostro tempo, in modo particolare per i popoli dell’Europa orientale. In modo chiaro fa vedere come le sfide dell’attuale flusso migratorio si possono perfettamente confrontare con quelle avvenute durante i tempi biblici.Parole-chiave: Straniero nella bibbia; Teologia delle migrazioni; Immigrazione; Integrazione; Pastorale migratoria In his reflections on biblical statements from the Old and New Testaments, the author shows how the people of Israel already had to deal with the “foreigners” in their own territory, and the evolution of the expressions about the God’s People behavior toward the alien throughout history. With Jesus of Nazareth these expressions are highlighted because he identifies himself with the foreign. The meeting with the foreigner becomes a badge of Jesus’ followers. From these basic considerations, the author seeks for answers for our times, especially for the Eastern European people.
