Resumo em Inglês: The central theme of this research is the trajectory of the Holy Angels College between the years 1917 to 1970 in the town of Port Union in the State of Santa Catarina, which acted as a girl's boarding. We sought to analyze the school culture produced within this breed belongs to the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit ( MSSPs ), a school of German-Brazilian origin who was part of the ultramontane project in the late nineteenth century. The research aimed to analyze the trajectory of Holy Angels College, while understanding the historical totality; investigate what is going on inside, generating a deeper understanding of the social space for the teaching and learning process through the external influences received. What prompted this study was the apparent relevance and robustness achieved by the college as a place of education created by a congregation that moved the European world and settled in Brazil with missionary role for the education. To this end, we proceeded to the institution's research building on the studies and Nosella Buffa (2009), rescuing the school culture within this under the gaze of Julia (2001). Photo albums, books, files, books, visits by school inspectors, minutes of term exams and final minutes of entrance exams, minutes of pedagogical meetings, reports: several primary sources were used. In addition to these interviews were conducted with former students. During the study we investigated the teaching practices, school knowledge and academic space. A contribution to the study of educational institutions in Brazil was unveiling the school culture produced this breed and its impact on society and the behavior of individuals who were part of it.
