Resumo: | The aim of this work is to propose didactic activities that use flexagons as concrete material for the teaching of Geometry in Elementary School, since we verified that this object is not commonly used in the Brazilian classrooms and the literature in Portuguese of these devices is scarce. Flexagons stand out as intriguing devices that attract students’ curiosity, motivating them to participate in the learning process in an active way. Two of the four activities proposed in this study were applied in the classroom and the report of these applications is also presented. Moreover, the work brings the detailed construction (with illustrations) of five types of flexagons and explains the process of manipulation of these devices. Such constructions may be useful both for the execution of the proposed activities in this work and for other activities involving flexagons. |
