Resumo: Faced with the various trends of technology or disruptive innovation, the Circular Economy emerged. The Circular Economy involves strategies of sustainable development, environmental protection, clean production, ecological consumption, regeneration and reuse of waste aligning social equity, environmental quality and economic well-being. The present research aimed to propose a model to identify the priority aspects that can support the sustainable organizational development of the pig production chain. For this, a systematic review was carried out, where the study of specific situations related to the interaction between the circular economy and the handling of swine residues was addressed. The model proposal was also based on analyzing and selecting the GRI indicators, formulating a questionnaire and performing the statistical analysis of the data obtained through the Spearman correlation analysis. It was indicated a statistical model that can be followed to verify the relationship between the issues. In the correlation analyzes performed, the most significant, considering the 99% confidence level, refer to the social dimension. From a total of thirty-five correlations, social dimension issues were related twenty-nine times with environmental and economic issues, with a representativity of 86.86% of interaction. Regarding the characteristics of the circular model in the pig production chain, it was considered an increase in the efficiency of resource allocation and utilization, the redesign of the productive structure in an ecological way, changes in design practices, consumption, use, reuse and waste of throughout the production chain. In the identification of already existing circularity metrics, it was verified that they consider isolated aspects to measure circular economy, such as indicators based on material flow, indicators based on energy consumption, land use and consumption indicators and own indicators life cycle assessment. It was not found in the literature a model of circular economy measurement that considered several aspects (environmental, economic and social) simultaneously. Cultural and political changes are fundamental in the process of circular economy. When introduced in the context of pig farming, the circular economy provides better treatment and use of the waste, as well as makes it possible to transform them into fertilizer, fuel and energy. Through the proposed model, it is intended to identify the aspects that present the greatest influence in the system, facilitating the actions. The application of the developed model will allow identifying the points of correlation between the environmental, economic and social dimensions, enabling organizations to identify the points they need to improve, as well as, to provide a more efficient and punctual management of resources contributing to the preservation of the environment and practicing the circular economy.
