Resumo: | Since the emergence in Germany, the term Industry 4.0 has been spreading among countries. Since it involves a search for the integration of technologies and digital systems, Industry 4.0 can be applied in several sectors, among them the electric energy. In Brazil, this sector is traditionally composed of large companies, generally of a public nature. Public calls for tenders have shown the interest of these large companies in more decentralized solutions, such as approaching startups. How public policies make it possible to direct actions and even invest in strategic points or sectors that can contribute to the country’s development. That said, to explore the possibilities of startups, in Industry 4.0 context, to get closer to the traditional companies in the electric energy sector in Brazil, it aims to: analyze how public policies can leverage startups linked to Industry 4.0, applied to the Brazilian electricity sector. It identifies the variables, it is an interdisciplinary and applied research, which uses the technique of content analysis, on bibliographic and documentary research, focusing on a qualitative research format. In the development of this study, it was possible to verify the inclusion of new niches of startups participation in the sector, indicating areas such as social development and Fintech. This revealed to us the existence of an expansion of the types of startups that are sought for a relationship with the large companies of electricity. At the international level, a study was developed on the policies, aimed at Industry 4.0, adopted by the United States, Germany, Japan, India, South Korea, China, France and the United Kingdom, which served as support to outline a scenario of what is being done in the world, in addition to supporting an analysis of what can be created of expectations in Brazil, based on the measures that are being met. At the national level, a timeline with the evolution of Brazilian public policies was structured, which enabled the presentation of some of the potential and public policies, with regard to the leverage of startups linked to Industry 4.0, applied to the Brazilian electricity sector. It was also found that public policies generate a virtuous circle, implemented a catalytic effect on the relationship between startups and Industry 4.0, in the electricity sector. |
