Resumo: Prothetic complications in rehabilitation with zygomatic implant associated to conventional implants have direct relation with planning of the biomechanics of the prosthesis. The purpose of this retrospective study was to measure the diferente length of the prosthesis cantilevers in edentulous maxilla rehabilited with zygomatic implants associated to conventional implants. Sixteen rehabilitation cases with a follow up minimum of 2 years, were rehabilitated with one zygomatic implant in each site associated with four conventional implants. The prosthesis was removed and different lengths were measured (anterior, lateral and posterior cantilever, distance between implants) for association with prosthetic complication. The mean values observed was 11.1 mm (I1), 13.1 mm (I2), 14.2 mm (I3), 14.4 mm (I4), 13.8 mm (I5), and 10.9 mm (I6) for the height of the prostheses; 8.3 mm (I1), 6.0 mm (I2), 7.3 mm (I3), 7.2 mm (I4), 7.2 mm (I5) and 8.6 mm (I6) for the vestibular cantilever; 8.7 mm for the side left and 9.1 mm for the side right for the posterior cantilever; 9.2 mm (I1-I2), 5.0 mm (I2-I3), 7.4 mm (I3-I4), 4.5 mm (I4-I5), 8.6 mm (I5-I6) for interproximal distance; a mean of the distance between zygomatic implants is 28.9 mm; and the anterior-posterior spread distance is 16.9 mm. The mean dimensions obtained in this study promote a safe prosthetic characterization for the biomechanical behavior.
