Resumo: The microorganisms are a biological tool that could be used as an able alternative to minimize chemical fertilizer use traditionally used in re-vegetation programs and soil enrichment. In vegetation symbiosis generates economy trough reduction of chemical products (pesticides and fertilizer), result in benefits to environment, cost reduction to rehabilitation of degraded areas and more ease plant developed into environment with nutritional deficit, contributing to economic and socio-environmental development. The objective of this study was to evaluate the growth of Leguminosae Sabiá (Mimosa caesalpiniaefolia Benth.) like response to Rhizobium and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi inoculation. The experiment was conducted at Instituto Agronômico de Pernambuco – IPA and it was plot at IPA experimental field, Caruaru-PE, Agreste from Pernambuco. Rhizobium strain used was BR3405 from Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Agrobiologia – CNPAB, bacteria recommended from “Rede de Laboratórios para Recomendações, Padronização e Difusão de Tecnologia de Inoculantes Microbianos de Interesse Agrícola” – RELARE. The arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi used was Glomus clarum and Gigaspora margarita from CNPAB. The experimental design was a general linear models procedure for repeated measures. The treatments were T1 = Control (without Rhizobium inoculation and no FMA add); T2 = Gigaspora margarita; T3 = Glomus clarum; T4 = BR3405; T5 = BR3405 + Gigaspora margarita; T6 = BR3405 + Glomus clarum; T7 = Gigaspora margarita + Glomus clarum; T8 = Gigaspora margarita + Glomus clarum + BR3405. It was analysed: plant’s height and diameter, content of N and P in aerial part of plants, at 150 and 240 days, and field survival. Sabiá plants presented satisfactory survival regardless the treatment used; inoculation of Glomus clarum + Gigaspora margarita + BR3405 and inoculation with G. margarita provided better values to studied variables (height, diameter, N and P) , and this last one was the best chose to Sabiá plantation; G. clarum + G. margarita inoculation provided lower growth compared to the other treatment, can not be recommended for production; a direct relationship was not verified to N and P available at Sabiá seedlings, nevertheless was watch an improvement with symbiont used.
