Resumo: |
This research is to comprehend the ethnic-racial aspects listed in the Curriculum Guidelines for Geography Teaching of the State of Pernambuco, using as a theoretical approach the Postcolonial Studies. We conducted analysis of bibliographic production about identity, territory and race confronting these categories with Coloniality of Power and Coloniality of Being concepts. Using qualitative research and investigative approach for a documentary analysis, we understand how the concepts of identity, territory and race, align with the social scene and are inextricably linked to the teaching of geography. As main results, we found that the Curriculum Standards for the state of Pernambuco for Geography Teaching, presents us with a territory conception based mainly in the geographical physical aspect, subtracting thus the possibilities of reflections in the field of subjectivities and the space social relation that are established in the production of the territories. We also point out that there is a superficial treatment of ethnic and racial aspects as teaching proposal for understanding the historical and territorial formation of Brazil. |
