The Cucurbitaceae family includes pumpkins, gourds, melons and watermelons, among others. Among the genders that make up the reduced family is Cucurbita, of high socioeconomic importance. Including several relevant morpho-agronomic characteristics, associated with its high rusticity, some cucurbits, such as pumpkin and jersey, in addition to food use, being used as rootstock of other crops, this technique being ideal to increase or reduce plants. This work was divided into two experiments carried out simultaneously, where the objective was evaluated in the genotypes of milk pumpkin and caboclo jersey for resistance to the fungus Macrophomina phaseolina (Tassi) Goid. No first experiment seventeen accessions of Cucurbita moschata Duchesne, belonging to the UFERSA Cucurbit Germplasm Collection (ABTOU 805 F1, ABO 168, ABPUN 206 F4, ABPUN 201 F6, ABTOU 805 F4, ABPUN 206 F6, ABPUN 206 F2, ABPUN 206 F1, ROÇA DE FATHER, ABTOU 805 F4, P114-1, P160-2, P11-2, P114-6, P131-21, P114-02 and P97-1) and two commercial witnesses, being a commercial pollination cultivar Maranhão pumpkin and a hybrid commercial cultivar, Tetsukabuto. In the second experiment, 20 genotypes of Cucurbita maxima Duchesne were used (ABPUN-213, ABCRN-304, ABTOU-802-F4, ABAPO-002, ABAPO-005, JCCM-2014, ABO-156, ABPUN-212, ABCRN- 315 , ABTOU-802 F1, ABAPO-007, JERIMUM LU, ABAPO-024, ABPUN-211, RGV 2011.1 01, ABCRN-306, ABBAR-101, ABCRN-302, ABTOU-802 F3 and JCCA) and are also defined, pumpkin Hiroko and the Tetsukabuto hybrid. In both works, inoculate three phases of M. phaseolina, which are being kept in the UFERSA Library: MM1531 (GenBank: MN136199), ME249 and ME250. As plants received within the pathogen circle using the colonized toothpick method and evaluated for disease incidence and severity. Both species are described as resistant plants, but with different frequencies for accessions. When used as species, the frequencies observed for C. Moschata were higher than those observed for C. maxima. |
