Business school is responsible for the highest Graduation Rate - measured by the number of graduates due to the number of freshmen – every year at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Serra Talhada Academic Campus (UFRPE / UAST). The study aims to analyze the correlation between the factors determining the wage income in the market, taking as reference the business graduates from the Serra Talhada Campus between 2013 and 2016. To do this, Descriptive Statistics and Multiple Regression Methods (Ordinary least squares, utilizing the minimum wage as dependent variable, and age, sex, average GPA, freshmen’s previous residence, time necessary for employment, and degree duration). The results highlight that the students’ average GPA as an explanatory variable of interest and the individuals' sex complemented the analysis, significantly influencing the average earnings of the graduates. |
