Resumo: Water erosion is one of the main processes responsible for soil physical degradation, since, break up and carries the particles with greater ease. The characteristics of the quantity of sediment transported to the rivers, besides informing about the behavior of the watershed, have great relevance to the maintenance of ecosystems, planning and utilization of water resources in a region, or to verify the viability of human intervention to supply or irrigation, or for design of hydraulic works. The present study was to evaluate the hydrological and sedimentological characteristics basin of the Mimoso rivulet, semiarid in Pernambuco in the city of Pesqueira, with a total area of 124.36 km ² and a concentration time of 3.49 hours. The experimental watershed of the creek showed Mimoso hydrological responses with high peak flows, with values of 13.17 m³ s-1. The production of suspended solid discharge Mimoso Creek, was a minimum of 0.063 t dia-1 and a maximum of 954.38 t dia-1 for the year 2009 and a minimum of 0.118 t dia-1 and a maximum of 908.2 t dia-1 in 2010.
