Resumo: The present study aims to analyze the experiences of agro - RPRP Prorural productive projects that are of family farming in Pernambuco in the aspect of social participation. The methodology used to conduct the study was developed to meet the proposed goal, working with indicators that underlie the issues of social capital in the community association, developed based on the ideas of Putnam, followed by Sampaio & Vital and adapted for this research. The results show the different perspectives of participation of two associations in agribusiness linked to them. For both experiments became clear the importance of social capital in the development of the family business and improving operating conditions in the same locality. Moreover, we register the monitoring of technical government agencies responsible for these projects from family farms, which have placed for these farmers, the main agents of change, the importance of participation as a key factor for the improvement of enterprises. Greater participation and cooperation associated with these agribusinesses may be the most effective way to achieve good results.
