Resumo: The construction of indicators of innovation enables companies to analyze the evolution of innovative activities developed in which they belong, at the same time that the government subsidizes the evaluation and development of national and regional policies, resulting in quantitative and qualitative increase in productivity. Innovation activities and their indicators can grow in any productive sector, from those geared strictly for agribusiness, to the most complex of fully industrial manner. In recent years, as a springboard for the development of innovation in agribusiness from various regions of the country, the companies operating in the same sector have been organized themselves in a form of cooperation by the system of Local Productive Arrangement (APL). This a term has been widely used both by groups which are concerned to understand the processes of development characteristic of the current stage of capitalism, as various agencies responsible public and private policies to promote the development of production of goods and services research. Therefore, this research analyzes the innovation indicators present in a winery that are part of the Local Productive Arrangement of vitiviniculture of Valley of sub-medium São Francisco (VSSF), from 2001 to 2012.Specifically, investigating the indicators of technological innovation of product or process and the indicators of non-technological innovation, organizational and/or marketing in the APL besides identify the types of innovation that characterize the activities developed in those companies. For this purpose, we use as a methodology an adaptation of the model proposed by the Manual Search of Innovation (PINTEC), developed by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), which broadly follows the guidelines established by the Oslo Manual, however adapted for the Brazilian reality. The research shows that the participation of other companies of foreign origin in winemaking of the Valley of submedium São Francisco boosted innovations in the wine region, providing an increase in the rate of innovation of products and processes and the number of investment in innovative activities that extend the field to the promotion of drink.
