Resumo: |
The use of green roofs offers numerous benefits such as: reduction of rainwater, reduction of internal heat, reduction of the effects of heat islands, cleaning of atmospheric pollutants, besides contributing to the appreciation of urban landscape. Research related to green roofing techniques is growing around the world, seeking improvements in contemporary techniques, and selection of species for use on extensive green roofs. The objective of this research was to evaluate and select plant species for use on extensive green roofs, under conditions in the Forest zone of Pernambuco in restricted substrate depth, maintenance, irrigation, pruning and soil nutrition. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with four replications and nineteen treatments (species). The species were evaluated fortnightly how many to the characters: glue rate; Persistence rate; Soil cover capacity; height; Biomass of the aerial part; Root biomass; Internal surface temperature and general appearance of the plants after 150 DAP. The species Impatiens walleriana, Arachis repens, Indigofera campestris, Richardia grandiflora and Turnera subulata did not present growth and this was excluded from the process of evaluation of agronomic characters. The species Ipomoea assarifolia, Paspalum notatum 02, Paspalum notatum 04, Paspalum notatum 05, Paspalum notatum 06, Sphagneticola trilobata, Trandescantia pallida and Trandescantia zebrina showed good development, but were classified as poorly adapted. Callisia repens, Chlorophytum comosum, Ophiopogon jaburan, Paspalum lepton 01, Portulaca grandiflora and Sansevieria trifasciata Are indicated for use on extensive green roofs in the Zona da Mata of Pernambuco, as they presented higher rate of glue and persistence, as well as higher rates of vegetation cover, resulting in lower internal surface temperature, as well as a very adequate general appearance. |
