Resumo: |
This present dissertation discusses a technique for solving polynomial equations systems, calling by resultant . Here, we use the result to analyze the algebraic discriminant of some polynomials and then we apply the solution of a particular case of the problem of n bodies in celestial mechanics. In this last application, we will use the resultant to find planar central configurations of four bodies of equal masses and analyze their amazing geometry. This technique is purely algebraic and involves various topics of mathematics as Algebraic Geometry and Computer Algebra. For applications that are presented in this dissertation, we will submit only those resultants in two polynomials to a variable, developing concepts, definitions and properties to become the algebraic discriminant analysis and the solution of the problem to the case of 4 bodies possible. |
