Resumo: This essay develops pedagogical workshops focused on the teaching of history at Espaço Ciência, a science museum located in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. Methodologically we made use of bibliographical researches on the relations in teaching and museums. The first chapter unfolds the concepts of museum, science museum, the differences and similarities between museums and science centers, and the teaching of history. The second chapter addresses the educational role of museums and experimentation in science museums. These early chapters also covered concepts such as scientific citizenship, non-formal teaching, science outreach, hands-on, push-button, minds on and heart on interactivity, and didactics applied to museum institutions. The third chapter contains the educational proposals related to the teaching of history and some possibilities of relating them to the exhibitions of the Espaço Ciência in the form of 3 interdisciplinary pedagogical workshops. Of which: The Cultural Map Workshop aims to identify the cultural and characteristics elements of the cities in Pernambuco, through illustrative images. The CSI Historical Workshop uses game dynamics to investigate and solve a murder crime in an indigenous village, to identify and compare indigenousand non-indigenous cultural elements. The Workshop Brazil: A starry homeland adapts a reproduction dynamics of the national flag and analysis of other symbolic elements used in different periods of Brazilian history to focus on the content of the Republic. Thus, this dissertation highlights the possibility of developing History Teaching activities in a Science Museum.
