Resumo: |
The general objective of this dissertation was to analyze the marketing spaces of products derived from family farming, grown under agro-ecological orientation in Recife-Pernambuco. In relation to specific objectives we chose to characterize the fairs, identifying the origin of the producers or farmers and the diversity of production as well to investigate the importance of technical assistance in this project to examine whether and how the activities of fairs promote local development. The research question was: how fair agro-ecological commodities have influenced the lives of family farmers in the flow of production and solidifying their productive activities? In terms of methodology we indicate that it is a qualitative research, enriched with quantitative data. For data collection we used direct observation, document analysis and interviews with family farmers that make up those spaces. We used the following authors as theoretical bases: Abromovay; Altieri; Caporal; Furtado; Franco; Graziano da Silva; Jara; De Jesus; Pires and Lima; Wanderley, among others who use the themes of family farming, agro-ecology, local development, rural and urban settings. These results indicated that these fairs promote the meeting of rural to urban and enable the marketing of products, dissemination of agro-ecological ideas and promoting local development. We realize the importance of support from the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension for consolidation of all the steps which lead to the consolidation of agro-ecological practices. |
